A Little About Ginseng

Dave is a collector and dealer of ginseng roots-a family business for over 60 years.

In many ways, ginseng hunting is an old-fashioned activity.  Like trapping, it meant cash in colonial times and it even played an important role in early American history. An international treaty regulates the sale of American ginseng in its most lucrative market, and the trickle down effect of those international regulations means there are also federal and state regulations on ginseng hunting.
Ginseng grows in locations throughout the eastern United States, from the Canadian border south to Georgia and as far west as Oklahoma.
